Hi. My name's Rob Schamberger. I'm that guy who paints rasslers. And other stuff. I’m a model that is uncomplicated.

WORDS

This Will Ospreay painting is a perfect example of what has me excited about working with AEW: Wrestlers I’ve never painted before. I find his entrance jacket to be visually fascinating, which gives me a lot to work with as an artist. I’m happy with how the white negative space creates a framing device for the overall composition as well as how it establishes a mood with the colors used.

Not Bad!

YOU GOOD?

I signed and hand-numbered all of the Ospreay prints and put a special inscription on the first one. Fun, right?

It’s only been a handful of days since the last newsletter so I don’t have much to update you with yet. Although there’s a sort of seismic tease up above that I figure people may be talking about soon!

I’m in the midst of tearing down and moving out of the shipping office, which is a weird experience. Like, I’ve moved on to the next thing but I still have these little bits of the prior gig to take care of. It’s a mix of emotions that normally don’t overlap. Plus, moving is just a bummer. But the overall situation reminds me of when a girlfriend I was living with broke things off but we had to keep living together for another month until her new place became available. THAT was awkward! So’s this. But I should have it all wrapped in the next couple weeks and then we’re good to go.

I’m pretty far ahead on my AEW paintings so that there won’t be any gaps in service while I’m away from the studio later this month. Also I’ve just been, like, excited to do all of this. It’s ridiculous that I get to do something this cool for a living and every day that I get to keep doing so is wonderful.

Love you more,Rob
